Seraphinite

Ask a geologist if there’s a rock that can connect you to angels, and you’ll likely get a raised eyebrow. But ask them if there’s a rock that looks like it contains angelic-looking feathers, and they’ll direct you straight to seraphinite, whose surface is covered in beautiful shimmery patterns that look so much like feathers, it was named after the seraphim. A fun fact about feathers is that most people mistakenly think they evolved for the purpose of flight, when in fact they were there for warmth and protection long before flying was even a question. Feathers still keep birds safe through the coldest winters and harshest storms, only now, of course, they also allow them to soar above the clouds and migrate from one end of the Earth to another. They are, in short, pretty miraculous. If you’re lucky enough to have seraphinite popping up for you, consider it a secret message from your own feathery guardians.
